Our mission is: To promote individual well being, strengthen families and improve the quality of life in our community.

United Way is dedicated to improving our community to the best of our ability with the resources available.

Each year we raise funds through several outlets, including the annual giving campaign, workplace giving campaigns, and special events like “Saranac Thursdays.” All funds raised stay right here in the Valley and Greater Utica area, and benefit many of the local non-profits that fill the needs of the community.

United Way is not just about fundraising; we also help build mutually beneficial relationships among the area’s non-profit agencies to better utilize the resources available. We serve as the connector between the agencies so they can work together to fight the challenges our community faces on a daily basis.
